We'll be leaving the hotel at 08:45, taking a walk to the Teatro Greco, where we will have a guided tour from 09:15 to 10:00.

‱ Alternatively, if you don't want to go down to the sea, you can go up to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Rocca starting from Porta Messina and following the signs for the Via Crucis. Note that the climb is very challenging, but the view is worth it.

‱ And for those who don’t want to go to the sea or the mountains, a nice walk through Taormina on Corso Umberto is perfect for some shopping from Porta Messina to Porta Catania. Don’t miss the panoramic Belvedere (Piazza IX aprile), another great spot to admire the sunset!

You'll find some beautiful craftsmanship (artigianato) at the shop of Michael Samperi, traditional sweets of all sorts at La Bottega del Buongustaio, excellent custom-made sandals at Il Sandalo Caprese, high fashion in an impressive historical setting at the Dior Palace, ceramics, fabric, clothing and accessories at Nica Nica Taormina and at Colori del Sole, and why not have your beard trimmed at Barber Shop Saro, or just admire the magnificent Palazzo Sgroi in Corso Umberto

Don't miss the Laboratorio Pasticceria Roberto which produces the lemon almond sweets that you found as a welcome gift from Alessia in the room, along with a bottle of Sicilian wine. At Roberto's, you can have some of the best cannoli that you'll find in Sicily.

To enjoy a cup of Italian espresso coffee or the typical granita al caffĂš, visit Bam Bar, CaffĂš Forastiero, or Gelateria Don Diego

For a nice aperitivo – a drink and some snacks before dinner – four appreciated bars are Al Grappolo d’Uva, Franco Wine bar & Typical Sicilian Food, ArkĂš, and CaffĂš Forastiero.
